ABOUT MY WORK - Serving as a Zen Priest

In November 2005, I was ordained as a Zen Buddhist priest by Enkyo O'Hara Roshi, spiritual director of Village Zendo. This Zen center is located in lower Manhattan and is in the internationally recognized lineage of Taizan Maezumi Roshi. I serve on the Zendo's Steering Committee in the role of Social Action Coordinator. I also serve as Coordinator of the NY Metro Chapter of Buddhist Peace Fellowship.

My work is an expression of the three pure precepts of Zen, namely:

* Not Knowing (open awareness)
* Bearing Witness (empathetic acceptance)
* Loving Action (compassionate responsiveness)

These priniciples frame my goal for you: to integrate change through awareness, acceptance, and responsiveness. This process transforms obstacles into opportunities, which reveal your true nature. The experience heals as you awaken to the presence in you of deep tranquility, equanimity, and joy.
