Attuned Breath Centering
developed by Judy Seicho Fleischman, Attuned Breath Centering (ABC) is a meditative practice of paying attention to intention in the present moment as you simultaneously anchor in breath awareness.
It can be helpful as an intervention when anxiety and other challenging emotions arise. It also can be an ongoing healing practice.
This practice was first developed to support people in recovery (from addictions) and living with chronic illness, pain, and/or anxiety.
Here is a guided audio (MP3) Intro to Attuned Breath Centering.
If you want to learn more about this practice, feel free to download the slideshow presentation (PDF compressed format of Powerpoint) given at the 2010 annual conference of the Association of Professional Chaplains. You might
also find benefit in the downloadable handout from the same workshop. Training in this method for care providers is available. Please contact me for more info.
